What are the requirements for becoming a fitness franchise partner?
Candidates must have the minimum financial strength to open a UFC GYM® franchise. A background check is required. We will ask candidates to demonstrate that they did their due diligence and decide that they can succeed in our franchise system. UFC GYM is not looking for people who are successful at starting companies, but rather those who know how to follow an operations manual and have some entrepreneurial spirit within them.
What makes UFC GYM different than other gyms or clubs in the health, wellness, and fitness industry?
The UFC GYM franchise company has developed a program of class offerings within our clubs. Based on our relationship with the UFC, we have access to the training, nutrition, and regimens of UFC fighters. Through close analysis of them, we have created MMA-style fitness programs accessible to everyday individuals and fitness enthusiasts. Even if there are competitors in our space that focus on a single mixed martial art or a combination of it, they don’t have the broad access to these athletes. From a very tactical standpoint, that’s our point of differentiation.
What is the timeline for opening a fitness franchise location?
The average time it takes from the franchise agreement to the build out of a new franchise is 6-8 months. Some openings take as long as 12 months.
Do I have to relocate?
We only require a semi-absentee ownership. We ask that our franchise partners stay involved with each franchise, but we train general managers and fitness coaches to run the day-to-day operations. We also give our franchise owners the technology they need to run a franchise from a remote location.
What territories are available?
UFC GYM plans to aggressively expand over the next several years. Plenty of opportunities exist; many territories are available. We want to place franchises where there are 50,000 people within a 5km radius and with a median household income of $80,000–100,000.
